1 to 1 Care are a local independent private home care provider that have been based in South Oxfordshire since 2004. Supporting vulnerable adults in their own homes with compassion, humility, and an overarching passion to always act in each client’s best interest.
1 to 1 Care strive to support all our clients to the highest standards. This is achieved by listening to our clients and working with them, liaising with relatives, friends, and other Health Care Professionals, and only recruiting people who share our values.
Clients are closely monitored by the team for changes in mental capacity and physical capabilities and these are reported and monitored for appropriate action. This can involve requesting a GP visit for suspected UTls, unexplained changes in behaviour, requesting a District Nurse visit, requesting support from Occupation Therapists (usually for additional equipment), calling in the Speech and Language Therapists usually to assist with planning the support for clients with a compromised swallow.
Our Staff
All the 1 to 1 Care team are our employees (we don’t use agency staff), recruited locally often because of recommendation. Our team are all trained internally to the same high standards, moving through the care certificate followed by additional training modules and regular refresher training.
We also operate an extensive system of in the field supervisions of the whole team with unscheduled spot checks at regular intervals.
Ahsley the Donkey
1 to 1 Care adopted Ashley several years ago. Ashley is a rescue donkey who lives at the Sidmouth donkey sanctuary where he has a wonderful life and has many friends.
We receive regular photos of Ashley which we pass on to one of our clients who has learning disabilities and has them on her bedroom wall.
